HISTORY

___    Before being officially established in 2007, the Vietnam Sturgeon Group has gone through many years of researching, testing and breeding scheme of Russia sturgeon and has faced many difficulties. The support and guidance from the Ministry of Fisheries, Ministry of Science and Technology, Fisheries Association and many agencies and other organizations has contributed to the success of the project, then proceeding to apply in practice. As the result of it, Vietnam – Dalat Sturgeon Ltd., Company has been established. This is the first foundation of the Vietnam Sturgeon Group.
    The important milestones in the history of the Group's activities can be summarized as follows:
  • 2006  Ca Tam Viet Nam founders and experts first conducted a research and study of “Survival and Raising Acipenserdae forms in Vietnam”.
  • 2007 Ca Tam Vietnam Ltd was established with a purpose to develop Sturgeon farming in Vietnam.
  • 2008 Tam Long Dami JSC was established in order to expand Sturgeon Farming into industrial Scale.
  • 2009 first batch of Black caviar was harvested from Siberian Sturgeon (Acipenser Baerii Baerii). Total production of Ca Tam Vietnam Ltd  was above 50 MT/year. Ca Tam Viet Nam first officially introduced Stugeon commercial products to Vietnamese market.
  • 2010 Black caviar first appeared in Vietnamese market under a brand name Caviar de Đuc. First success achieved in hatching of our own sturgeon breeds in Tuyen Lam lake facility. Ca Tam Viet Nam became a well known brand in local market.

  • March, 2011 Expanding farming business in Binh Dinh province.
  • October, 2011 Established a new farm in Bac Giang province, after nearly one year of experimental Sturgeon rearing.
  • November, 2011 Founded a sturgeon facility in Dak Lak province, which is going to be the biggest farm in SE Asia.
